C&G2396-01 LEVEL 4 AWARD IN DESIGN &

VERIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS 

WHO IS THIS QUALIFICATION FOR:

This qualification is for experienced electricians who want to progress their careers and are working with minimal or no supervision.

Also for personnel in the Electrical Contracting Industry who have responsibility for the quality of the design, specification, Installation and testing process.

If you are looking to develop or update your electrical installation and verification knowledge and techniques. The course addresses in particular the implications of the current wiring regulations for electrical Installations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

This qualification has no formal entry requirements, but it is recommended that you have a good working knowledge of Electrical Installations. It is also recommended that a suitable technical industry certificate such as C&G2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations is a good starting point for those seeking a career as an Electrician. This qualification can be used together with your NVQ.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED:

Unit 401 Assignment covering the skills and knowledge portfolio in the unit and will be marked by our assessor verified externally by C&G

• Understand the relationship with statutory and non statutory requirements

• Electrical installation design, construction and commissioning process

• Fundamental principles for the design and installation of associated protective systems

• Factors that affect choice of sources and environmental technologies

Unit 402 Written test marked externally by C&G comprising of:

• Understand the electrical installation design, construction and commissioning process

• Understand BS 7671 requirements relating to electrical installation design

HOW WILL I LEARN

You will learn through a series of units delivered via our ON-LINE LEARNING PORTAL with a number of advantages supported by contact and feedback with your assessor .

You will not have to take time off work You Study and Learn at a time and pace to suit you

You do not have to wait until a course is available (we teach 365 days a year) You will not be in a large class

HOW LONG WILL THE COURSE TAKE:

There is no fixed time as it depends on your prior knowledge and experience but City & Guilds provide a guidance to the number of learning hours of 30hrs however the portfolio evidence design project is likely to take you around 40 hrs. The control is all yours as the learning is how to apply design rules and Electrical systems wiring regulations you can progress as quickly as you are able.

COST OF THE COURSE:

The Full course cost is £1400

(payable on invoice following registration with us for your course or over 3 months) Payment includes registration with City & Guilds, the on line course, examination and certification fees. Exam resits should you not pass first time are at an additional cost.
