INSTALLATIONS
WHO IS THIS QUALIFICATION FOR:
Electricians who want to progress their JIB grading to Approved Electrician status, the NICEIC
Electrical Contractor status or NAPIT’s Electrical Inspector Scheme. Or for those practicing Electricians who need to update their inspection and testing skills or Engineers entering the Electrical Industry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
This qualification has no formal entry requirements, but it is recommended that you have a good working knowledge of Electrical Installations. It is also recommended that a suitable technical industry certificate such as C&G2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations is a good starting point for those seeking a career as an Electrician.
There is also a starting point in inspection and testing for initial verification C&G2391-50 ask for further details if required. This qualification can be used together with your NVQ.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED:
The course is assessed by one multiple choice exam, one short written exercise and one practical assessment.
Our Inspection and Testing course covers the Domestic, Commercial and Industrial sectors across a range of units as listed below.
1. Understand requirements for inspection and testing of electrical installations
2. Understand safety management procedures when undertaking inspection and testing of electrical installations
3. Understand the requirements for the inspection of electrical installations
4. Understand the requirements for testing electrical installations
5. Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations

HOW WILL I LEARN
will learn through a series of units delivered via our ON-LINE LEARNING PORTAL with a number of advantages.
You will not have to take time off work You Study and Learn at a time and pace to suit you do not have to wait until a course is available (we teach 365 days a year)
You will not be in a large class
The Practical assessment will have a practice session prior to undertaking the final assessment at our centre (or your company if 4 or more candidates undertake the course)

HOW LONG WILL THE COURSE TAKE:
There is no fixed time as it depends on your prior knowledge and experience but City & Guilds provide a guidance to the number of learning hours at 50 hrs which includes theory well as applying understanding.
As the majority of time is theory you can progress as quickly as you are able.

COST OF THE COURSE:
The Full course cost is £950 (payable on invoice following registration with us for your course.) Payment includes registration with City & Guilds, the on line course, Pre assessment training, Practical assessment, examination and certification fees. Exam resits should you not pass first time are at an additional cost.
